Such sad news. Frank was an absolute gentleman - I worked with him at the (then) Isle of Anglesey Borough Council between 1975 - 1988. He was a talented planner who generously shared his knowledge with us 'younger' planners. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of landscape design and horticulture. Frank was responsible for overseeing the Council's restoration of Melin Llynon (Llanddeusant), the only working windmill in Wales and the retoration of the pilot's cottages at Ynys Llanddwyn

As a friend, we would exchange postcards of our respective holidays. My wife and I always looked forward to receiving the newsy postcards from him and Ann. I happen to be writing this in the beautiful island of Maderia (almost as beautiful as Ynys Môn) and have already written (but not posted) my postcard to him and Ann.

Ann looked after him so well over the years and they both enjoyed working in their beautiful garden at their lovely corner plot in Maes yr Hafod.

Rest in peace my dear friend and thank you so much for teaching me so much about planning and landscape design.
